Shirt made from 74% Tencel and 26% Silk, woven in Italy and certified OEKOTEX STANDARD 100.
Tencel is an eco-friendly material produced from wood pulp and a non-toxic solvent. Tencel is very popular in the textile industry because it is a breathable, hard-wearing fabric that is very similar to silk. It is sometimes called “vegetable silk”.
The wood pulp used to produce lyocell comes from trees planted specifically for its production. Pine, eucalyptus and bamboo forests are certified sustainable and have a low environmental impact. The eucalyptus, for example, only needs as much rainwater to grow, without pesticides or intensive irrigation.
